Mary Lou Fox Pioneer awards The OHCA Pioneer Award is designed to recognize Ohioans influential in the development and advancement of long-term care programs, education, professionalism or ideals. The Awards honor the commitment of these individuals to excellence in long-term care services.





MARY LOU FOX

As CEO of Westhaven Services Co., and later as Vice President of Marketing for Omnicare Corporation Pharmacy Services Group, Mary Lou was a strong presence in the long-term care community in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana.

Her innovative services and marketing programs helped make Westhaven one of the best known and well respected institutional pharmacies serving providers in the region. Mary Lou instituted the “Chocolate Party” featured at the OHCA Convention and other events, which soon became a Westhaven trademark.

Now retired, she is the CEO of Adventure Out, LLC, a holding company for new business start-ups headquartered in Perrysburg, Ohio. Mary Lou spends nine months a year in La Jolla, California, and asks for friends to call her when they are in Southern California. She indicates that it was an honor to serve her long term care customers through Westhaven and Omnicare.
